The name Essex originates in the Anglo-Saxon period of the Early Middle Ages and has its root in the Old English Eastseaxe (i.e. the "East Saxons"), the eastern kingdom of the Saxons.
Essex has a population of 1,700,000 people and is very beautiful.

The county is low-lying with very few hills, and is largely arable land with the wetlands of the Broads in the North. The Suffolk coast and heaths are an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The total population of Suffolk is about 716,000 people, and the link to the
North Sea enables great opportunities for fishing.
